Causeway Center &
Feeding Tampa Bay
The Causeway Center, home to Feeding Tampa Bay,
is a transformative 215,000-SF facility designed to
streamline access to essential services and address
food insecurity across 10 Florida counties. With a goal
to end local hunger by 2025 and distribute 90 million
meals annually, Feeding Tampa Bay needed a stateof-the-art hub. They turned to Ryan for our expertise
and deep community commitment. Over 15 months,
we helped navigate property acquisition, permitting
challenges, and complex construction needs to deliver
the region’s largest social services project on time.
The $60 million center consolidates critical resources,
including a free grocery store, hot meal services, a
job training center, and a pay-what-you-can café. Key
features include a 31,000-SF cold storage facility,
an 11,000-SF commercial kitchen producing 6,000
meals daily, and 35,000-SF of community space—all
built with durable, efficient design. More than just a
building, the Causeway Center represents hope and
long-term impact. For more than 85 years, Ryan has
been committed to strengthening communities, and
this project reinforces that mission.
